Serge Ibaka’s streak is over due to a back injury



Los Angeles Clippers power forward Serge Ibaka’s season is over. The team announced that the former Raptor had surgery to repair a back injury.

Ibaka, 31, played in only two of the Clippers’ games in the current playoffs. He is playing in the first season of a two-year contract that is expected to pay him $19 million.

Ibaka has played 12 seasons in the NBA. Prior to joining the Clippers, Ie Congolese played just over three seasons with the Raptors, who acquired him from the Orlando Magic shortly before the trade deadline in 2017. He also played for the Oklahoma City Thunder previously in his career.
